What if my dog fails daycare?
Behavioral daycare
When dogs are not doing well in regular daycare, if eligible, we offer behavioral daycare at Dogtown Cincinnati. With behavioral daycare, dogs get short daycare sessions with small groups of dogs. These sessions are supervised by a trainer, and they are focused on socialization issues dogs have in daycare.

Do the dogs have toys and activities in Dogtown’s daycare?
Yes, we do have toys and enrichment activities for dogs. We also do some trick and obedience training during daycare and work on behavioral and social issues. We do not always have toys in daycare. Sometimes we bring toys in, but toys can be stimulating, so it will depend on the day and the group of dogs present.
Does Dogtown have an outside yard?
Yes! Unlike many competitors, at Dogtown, we have yards. We believe it’s important for dogs to go outside to go potty. Dogs go outside regularly and it’s part of their routine.
What is nap time? What if I don’t want my dog to nap while at Dogtown?
Nap time is a much needed break for dogs to get a chance to relax between play times. Nap time greatly reduces the risk of problems due to over-tiredness. Like kids, dogs get cranky when they are tired. Nap time revitalizes dogs and makes them feel much better. Dogs who are present for half days, who arrive late in the day, or whose owners ask for their dogs to skip nap, will not nap.
If my dog is a senior, will Dogtown be a good environment?
Every senior dog is different. Some senior dogs can come and stay with us, especially if they are used to being with us. Sometimes daycare is just too much for seniors, and it’s not the best environment for them. We do have senior lounges at our front desk for older dogs but dogs up front have to be exceptionally well behaved. Not all senior dogs can be up front. It’s situation dependent.
If my dog has mobility issues or disabilities, can my dog stay at Dogtown?
This question is situation-dependent. If we aren’t comfortable caring for your dog, we will let you know. Feel free to start the conversation with us. Dogtown is kennel-free and high activity all day, so it might not be best for a dog with mobility issues.
