Dogtown policy is as follows:

All dogs must be spayed or neutered by 6 months of age, unless they are classified as a giant breed.

For clarification, giant breeds can wait until they are 12 months old, provided there are no  issues.  Dogtown has the discretion to not allow unaltered giant breeds if we have any issues with them.

Here’s a list of giant breeds:

  • St. Bernards

  • Great Dane

  • Great Pyrenees

  • Newfoundland

  • Mastiffs

Please note that the following breeds do NOT fall under the giant breed category:

  • German Shepherds

  • Golden Retrievers

  • Doodles

  • Etc.

There are NO EXCEPTIONS to the 6-month rule. This policy remains firm regardless of any documentation or recommendations from veterinarians. Dogs that are not spayed or neutered as per this policy will not be permitted to use our facility.
