Grooming at Dogtown

Grooming should not be stressful. With Dogtown's Spa, you can rest easy knowing your furry companion is in safe hands. Our team of groomers are highly trained and experienced.  When your pet is groomed at Dogtown, you can have peace of mind knowing we are qualified to provide a spa-quality experience for dogs.  We believe the grooming experience should be enriching, both on and off the table.  Combined with our top notch daycare service, grooming at Dogtown can be a wonderful and friendly experience for your dog! Sometimes our grooming schedule can get pretty full. Setup recurring appointments to keep your dog clean and healthy. All dogs must be fully vaccinated. See our Vaccine and Health Policy.

Dogs are welcome to come for grooming-only, or you can combine grooming with daycare so your dog can play first and then be groomed at the end of their playtime.

Standard Services

Pricing for Standard Grooming services. Grooming prices are based on a properly maintained dog. As an industry standard, dogs should normally be groomed every six to eight weeks and maintained/brushed in the interim, breed-dependent.

Additional Services

Early Drop Off or Extended Stay ($2/hour)

If you prefer not to have your dog in daycare on grooming day, we offer convenient options:

  1. Early Drop-off and Extended Stays: You can drop off your dog as early as 6 a.m. or keep them until 8 p.m. During this time, your dog will be placed in a secure crate in the grooming area and will not participate in daycare activities. If your dog is friendly, they may have the opportunity to socialize with our groomers without being crated.

  2. Early Drop-off: Early drop-off refers to dropping off your dog before your appointment's designated drop-off window.

  3. Extended Stay: Extended stay encompasses any period in excess of one hour after the latter of (1) your grooming pick-up time or of being notified of (2) your dog's grooming is complete.

  4. Dogs in Bad Shape: There may be additional charges for extended stays if your dog needs extra breaks during grooming, even if you pick up within an hour of completion. For example, if a dog is severely matted, very old, or extremely stressed, the extra time between sessions of grooming is considered the extra time that may be charged as the combination of all the time the dog needs breaks.

  5. Daycare Client Benefits: Daycare clients can utilize their daycare package or member days for any early drop-off or extended stay, even if their dog doesn't partake in regular daycare activities.

Grooming Late Cancellation Policy

We understand that plans can change. However, to respect the time of our groomers and ensure availability for all clients, we require at least 48 hours’ notice for grooming cancellations.

Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled appointment will incur a $50 late cancellation fee per dog (any size).

Grooming Tips

Do I need to schedule grooming at Dogtown?

Yes, generally, grooming needs to be scheduled at Dogtown. You can ask for service on the day-of, but our groomers are usually pretty busy.

What’s the difference between a trim up and a full groom?

A trim up includes everything a bath includes plus a trim of the face, feet, tail, and sanitary area. It does not include trimming of the hair of the body.

If my dog is matted will there be an additional fee during a Dogtown grooming?

Yes, if your dog is matted, there will be additional fees. Also, breed-specific grooming and brush outs may not be possible. We might have to shave the dog down. We do not put dogs through suffering to obtain a certain desired look. Dogs who are prone to matting should be brushed and maintained between grooms.

Will Dogtown help me maintain grooming between grooms?

Yes, Dogtown offers individual services like brush outs and baths. You can schedule any of these individual services between grooms at whatever frequency you need. We can also complete some of these services while your dog is also in daycare that day.
