Dogtown has what we like to call “illness mode” where we identify any illness that may be going on and step into action to stop it from spreading. This includes a host of actions which include screenings for symptoms at the doors, removing any dogs that show signs of symptoms, sending dogs home or taking any dog to the vet that needs to go. We also increase our wellness check, increase our cleaning, and change the way we clean and provide communal water bowls. Lastly, we keep close track of any illness going around so we can assess how contagious the illness really is. If we feel that we are unable to get the illness under control, we will email our clients to encourage them to take action to help us stop any spread.
